“There is no path to happiness: happiness is the path.” – Gandhi
Year after year, I’ve been chasing happiness.
I reached my milestones, changed my appearance, read books, tried new things, drowned in shopping, and ventured to places.
Each time, I thought I was getting closer. I was sure this would be it.
But it wasn’t. None of it brought the lasting happiness I expected.
What I’ve learned in the process is that happiness can be found in every moment.
Is not a destination or something you can find.
It’s almost like we’re conditioned to believe that what we don’t have is what will complete us.
But the truth is, the simple things we often overlook, that’s where happiness can be found. In a smile, in a gentle touch, in a moment of stillness.
Happiness isn’t something to be pursued with relentless urgency. Happiness is something that emerges when we stop trying so hard to catch it.
