“The future starts today, not tomorrow. -Unknown

Today, I met someone very special. She came to me, hugged me, then stepped back, gently holding my shoulders. She looked into my eyes, and in that instant, my soul felt filled with presence and love.

She was stunning. Her joy radiated from her eyes, her smile was wide and warm, and her words carried wisdom and love.

She thanked me.

She thanked me for all the lessons of the past, for the strength to overcome them. She thanked me for the ability to grow, for the love of learning, for the grace in her heart, for the wisdom she had gained through the years. She thanked me for the quiet moments in which she found clarity. Most of all, she thanked me for her eyes , because through them, she got to see the beauty of each day. She thanked me for the people in her life, for her daughter, for her grandkids, and for her life as it is.

Then, she hugged me one last time, stepped back, and slowly walked away. Her joy, her energy, was hypnotic. Her laughter was contagious. I started laughing too, my heart feeling light and full of joy.

As she walked away, I stood there for a moment. 

The journey ahead is full of promise, and I can’t wait to see where it leads.

My heart was feeling excited, not just for what lies ahead, but for who I am becoming. 

Perhaps the greatest gift of all was realizing that I’m not just waiting for my future to unfold. I’m already living it.
